TimeSnapper
Posted by Brett Tackaberry on February 23rd, 2006
As anybody who works in the design industry (or any other job where you’re expected to bill your time to clients and projects) can attest to, when you fall behind on your recording your time it can be darn near impossible to remember what you were doing last Tuesday at 11am. You end up trying to piece together what you might have been doing Sherlock Holmes-style using a combination of your sent emails, modified files on your computer and a vague recollection at best.
Worry no more, for TimeSnapper has come to the rescue! TimeSnapper is a very lightweight app that runs in the background and takes screenshots of your computer and pre-defined intervals (say every 30 seconds) and then allows you to “play back” your day at high-speed so you can see exactly what you were working on (or should have been working on) last Tuesday.
