Jeff Young is a rare combination of creative artist and service-driven design professional. A member of the Registered Graphic Designer’s of Ontario, Jeff is a valued resource for 76design’s clients who want to communicate ideas through original concepts and superior design. He believes that effective communications begins with strong ideas and a thoughtful process to ensure the end product has meaning and impact. From Fortune 500 companies to government and NGOs, Jeff enjoys the creative challenge of starting with a blank page and working with clients to develop exceptional print, web, and multimedia communications.
The range of services and design products he develops for clients is extensive, ranging from printed materials such as annual reports, publications, posters, brochures, advertisements, invitations to websites, blogs, marketing and corporate identity materials. Jeff is highly proficient with a compliment of graphic design and computer programs, including Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, Macromedia Flash MX, Quark Xpress, and Microsoft Office Suite on both PC and MAC platforms.
With over five years delivering strategic communications through graphic design, his personable style and attention to detail have earned him high marks with clients. He has been the lead designer in many of the firm’s top projects and has delivered high-quality design and services to a broad range of public and private organisations. Jeff holds an honours degree in Communication Design from the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design. A native of Toronto, Ontario, Jeff travelled to many countries throughout Europe during his years of service with the Canadian Navy in Halifax. He was awarded the Commanding Officer’s Commendation in 1999 for exceptional dedication and service during the search and recovery operation for Swiss Air Flight 111.
Throughout his career, he has participated in numerous professional development and training programs offered by the Registered Graphic Designers of Ontario including typographic design, design business management, design communications, marketing, and research. Jeff has also taken Adobe Photoshop training courses at Eliquo in Ottawa. Jeff maintains a personal interest in interactive media, painting, drawing and sculpture.
