As 76design's co-founder and director of technology, Brett Tackaberry brings passion and relentless determination to finding the best solution to any problem on the table. Brett’s innovative approach to service delivery allows him to provide clients with creative solutions and exceptional products.
In this role, Brett oversees and provides technical direction to development activities in website development, application development, and any project requiring some form of technical implementation.
As well as client services, Brett is currently leading the design and development teams through 76design's Skunkworks program. The 76design development team is currently focused on refining its processes and methodologies; developing valuable reusable application components; and, experimenting with emerging technologies.
All of Brett’s clients have benefited from his ability to work with them to clearly establish and understand project objectives, recommend creative and functional solutions to meet those objectives, as well as his dedication to ensuring that each and every 76design project is completed on time, on spec and on budget. His ability to understand a project and ultimately a client’s business objective has allowed him to establish many long-term client relationships.
Brett has worked with clients including: Allstate, CADTH, Environment Canada, Library and Archives Canada, Lockheed Martin, Magmic, Natural Resources Canada, City of Ottawa, Ottawa Hospital, Ottawa Public Library, Ottawa Marathon, Sharp, Travelocity, Travelpod, Visa.
A native of Ottawa, Brett holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Carleton University. Brett co-founded 76design in 2000 while finishing his degree.
